Akokhan is a Kenyan superhero but of 'West African' descent and possibly one of the most widely read and circulated of East Africa's comic superheroes. The multiple heritages reflected in the story of Akokhan mirror the biography of its creator, Frank Odoi. The first book collection of Akokhan was published in Finnish in Finland in and an English version was launched in Nairobi by Kenway Publications.

Another of Frank's famous works is the Golgoti series which also appeared in newspapers in Ghana and East : Frank Odoi, Tarkwa, Ghana.
